Today I have a very cute pink polish on! Revlon "Sweet Tart." Sweet Tart is an adorable bright Barbie pink creme polish. And as if the color alone wasn't cute enough I decided to add Winnie The Pooh Kiss water decals on my ring fingers and thumbs. I've had the decals for yearsss.. I think I got them at Walgreens, I'm not too sure.

2 Coats: Revlon - Sweet Tart

A few of my nails started to bubble but I don't think it's from the Revlon polish. It might be the top coat I applied over it. (It's almost finished and had gotten a bit thick) I hate it when this happens and would normally remove all my polish but I'm just too lazy and I didn't get to do my own nails this past weekend during our sleepover.

Review: NYC Smooch Proof 16H Lipstain

Top to Bottom: Forever Freesia - Rock On Ruby - Forever Mine Wine

These 16Hr lipstains from NYC are pretty awesome! I received these lipsatins from New York Color as part of the generous package they sent me to review.

NYC Lipstains can be found in your local drugstore retailing at $4.99 for a lightweight .10 oz tube. The pointed felt tip applicators provide an even application on the lips for a matte finish that feels unnoticeable. You can build up the intensity of color although it is not really necessary. I love the color payoff from these lipstains.

As for longwear, these lipstains are in for the long haul compared to other drugstore lipstains in the market. If you're looking for lipcolor that lasts through the day of eating and drinking, look no further! I wouldn't eaxctly say that they last a whole 16 hours but they do last quite a long time. If you plan on wearing it all day you may have to re-apply once or twice.

If not, then I advise you not wear this lipstain. Some of the pigmentation stayed on even after I tried removing it with makeup remover wipes. Let's just say trying to swatch the darker/brighter colors on my lips in one day was a bit difficult. Haha Although the color applies as a matte you may want to apply a balm on top to lock in moisture on your lips. But don't get me wrong, these lipstains are not drying like most lipstains out there.

They have a strong sweet peachy smell on initial application but it does not linger on your lips.

NYC offers them in 10 different shades but I received the following colors: Forever Freesia, Rock On Ruby, and Forever Mine Wine.
Left to Right: Forever Freesia - Rock On Ruby - Forever Mine Wine

Forever Freesia is a very pretty light pink with purple undertones.

Rock On Ruby is a gorgeous classic red shade.

Forever Mine Wine is a dark berry shade with purple undertones. I'm not a fan of how it was darker on certain parts of lips.

My favorite of the 3 are Forever Freesia and Rock On Ruby.

Summer Curls :)

Hello lovely readers! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I spent my weekend in NJ (one of my sister's lives there) with my sisters and cousin. We had a nice little sleepover!! :) Yes, you may be saying who still has sleepovers at our age but we are very close and in my house I was never allowed to attend any sleepovers, so I've been deprived! HaHa

We did a little shopping, had dinner and did the basic girly fun stuff that you do at a sleepover.. which means I was the designated manicurist this weekend ;)

Today, I'll just be writing about summer curls, an essential hairdo for this horrid summer heat we've been experiencing lately. And let's not forget the occasional days of thick humid air and rain.  "/

I wear my hair straight most of the time but on days like these I either throw it up in a ponytail or do it curly. I must admit I have not done my hair curly in sooo long and because I straight iron my hair so much, I've lost the curl bounce I once was able to accomplish.

My hair is not naturally this curly, I would say it's wavy/semi curly. To get this look keep reading..

Things you'll need are
  • mousse
  • hairspray
  • 2 hair clips
  • hair dryer
  • hair dryer diffuser
My favorite mousse and hairspray is Herbal Essences Body Envy Collection in Max Hold. I start off by combing out my hair after washing it and applying mousse throughout every strand with my fingers. Then, flip your hair over and apply again from root to end. Keep applying mousse to hair and scrunch hair towards the root while still having hair flipped over. Spray entire hair with hairspray and scrunch again. Add hairspray one more time and section off hair into 2 pieces (top and back). Take hair clips and pull up hair in each section. Apply more hairspray and let air dry until you feel the mousse/hairspray stiffen up. Use a diffuser attachment (available at a beauty supply store) on your hair dryer to dry unclipped hair (hair should be flipped over). Use the same scrunching motion all over hair until it is completely dry and soft. If you're hair is still still feeling you have to continue diffusing it. Once done apply some more hairspray, flip back up, and VOILA!!

NOTE: The hair dryer diffuser helps create lots of volume without the feeling of dry crunchy curls. This technique is my own personal technique for styling my hair this way and may or may not work for everyone. Please let me know how it worked for you by commenting down below... Have a great week!
