On another note, I went to Deals during the weekend with my sister (she had to pick up some things for a work event) and I found this very affordable hand mirror which is perfect when applying my makeup since I use this tiny little mirror to do so. I paid a mere $1 for it and was surprised at the quality of it. I'm sure I will get long good use of it. And it's a great size (approx.): 6-1/2"w x 9-1/4"l
Sassy & Chic Hand Mirror - $1
I ordered this 15 pcs. pack of Nail Art Brushes through eBay seller: SecretJewelry for $3 and received them in the mail. I haven't had a chance to try them out yet but the quality seems to be pretty good from first glance. I was a bit worried that they would be of really cheap quality. I promise to do a full review of them on a featured manicure. So stay tuned MY LOVELIES <3

I'm Going To Be An Aunt! Baby Trends I'm Lovin..

My niece!
One of my older sisters is having a baby girl!!!! Woohoo! She will be due on November 12, 2011. Can't wait! Whatever God will bring to this world is wonderful, but I think little girls are much cuter than boys =P and let's not all forget that the selection of clothing for girls is much nicer than your basic plaid button down shirts for boys. SO in honor of my soon to be born niece, this blog post will be dedicated to the latest baby trends I die for...

What a cute dainty headband!
So ever since I've been addicted to watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey on Bravo, I've been waiting on someone I know to have a baby girl so I could dress them like Teresa Giudice's kids.. Im pathetic LOL I always liked these hair accessories that her kids wear and there are a bunch of independent companies I've found online that sell these crochet flower headbands/hats and tutu skirts for newborns and toddlers. My sister is not really feeling the trend and says she doesn't want her to be too girly.. Too girly?? Wutevvaaa LOL

How cute is this outfit? And she just HAS to have a pair of Converse!

I <3 the blue tutu paired with a hot pink headband!

Yes, I'm a bit obsessed! But hey who wouldn't be?!?! These cute crochet flower headbands and hats run about $8-$15 online which is not bad at all considering Bellini's sells them for $30. Ha.. Jea right!

What baby trends are you loving? What do you think of these trends?

Pink Wednesday: Leafy Fluorescent Pink

Natural Sunlight w/o Flash
Today will be my first Pink Wednesday. Looking through my many polishes, I realized I own quite a bit of pink hues. For today's manicure I decided to go with a pink konad manicure, applying 3 coats of e.l.f. polish in Fluorescent Pink for my base coat and using Sally Hansen Xtreme in Grey Area as my stamping color. A while back I got the new set of stamping plates that Bundle Monster came out with.
25 pcs. Bundle Monster Stamping Plates
I've never bought the first set they came out with but own a few konad plates. The new set has the same-sized images as the konad plates, have a backing on them and work just as well as the konad plates. I definitely recommend my nail fanatics to get them especially since they are much cheaper than konad. The set includes 25 plates for $21.99 whereas konad plates run for $6.99/plate. In this mani, I used the leaf pattern from plate BM-210 and sealed the polishes off with Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Flawless.

Base Coat: E.L.F. - Fluorescent Pink
Plate: BM-210
Stamp Color: Sally Hansen Xtreme - Grey Area
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength - Flawless
I have quite a few e.l.f. polishes and this is my first time wearing Fluorescent Pink. It's a great color for summer and I plan on using it more often. Hope you enjoyed this mani!

Did you participate in Pink Wednesdays? What manicure did you rock today?

Disappointment: Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes + Review + Photos

L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara - Blackest Black
Ever since L'Oreal came out with their Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara, I've been craving to get my hands on it. I didn't do much research on it before buying it which is unlike myself. I think it was the mere sleek shiny packaging and commercial that attracted me to it. The main reason I desired it was because of the statement made by L'Oreal that it had a built-in wiping system. That is something I've been yearning for in my mascaras since I usually take a paper towel and wipe off ll the excess mascara to prevent my lashes from clumping (a complete waste of mascara). Boy, was this a total beauty disappointment for me. I picked up 2 of these mascaras at Rite-Aid only because there was a sale and I had a VV coupon paired with a mfr coupon + a $3/$15 coupon.. making them free compared to their retail price of $8.95.

L'Oreal claims:
"For lashes that look a million times multiplied and perfectly defined... The built-in Clean Sweep Wiping System wipes the brush free of clumps leaving the perfect amount of mascara for an ultra-volumized clean lash look. The Millionizing Brush even thickens lashes from root to tip. The result? Lashes look so multiplied, so clean, it's like seeing millions."
L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes - Blackest Black
I do admit the packaging is pretty to look at and I like that it has a lock system that clicks when closing the top. But the brush??? The brush is the most flimsiest of all mascara brushes I have ever encountered. And this "clean sweep system" is the worst! I applied my daily makeup routine to only re-do my entire eye makeup.. It seemed as if the wand had a fair amount of mascara on it so I didn't clean any excess off of it. But in truth, my eyelashes clumped together so badly making them appear as if I had 5 lashes. (I should have taken a picture to show you guys.. but I was frustrated and not happy.) I removed the mascara and reapplied, this time wiping off all the excess on a paper towel. All in all, I'm sticking to my favorite mascara (CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion). My lashes just looked sad and not millionized at all with L'Oreal. I have gotten used to wiping off excess mascara on a paper towel so I'll continue doing it but if a product is going to claim that it has a wiping system in it and it fails to perform, then I'm not a fan at all.

Voluminous Million Lashes applied on eyes after wiping excess off on paper.
